Charles started performing live at a very young age. He appeared on TV in the third grade where he played guitar and sang on “The Ernie Lee Show”. He was in chorus in elementary school and went on to play French horn in 7th grade. In eight grade he re-joined the chorus and played lead guitar for a group called Volume One. In high school he was in the concert chorus. He then joined the band Sound System, an extension of chorus. He played lead guitar for two years until he graduated.
Charles has played all over the state of Florida and at the Grand Ole Opry in competition. He has been performing in clubs in the Tampa Bay Area for many years. Charles signed with an independent record label in Nashville in 1998 and went on to release his debut cd, “Let’s Put Things In Perspective” in early 1999.
